He is currently a Director with Pfizer’s Worldwide Innovation group. In this role, he works on accelerating innovation at Pfizer by embedding an entrepreneurial mindset and culture and exploring external innovative opportunities working with companies and entrepreneurship stakeholders. Previously, he led the implementation of Pfizer’s global capabilities for customer insights development and start-up experimentation for one of Pfizer’s business units. He also worked in market analytics, developing insights to drive brand decision-making. He was a Pfizer Global Health Fellow in Vietnam with the non-for-profit CARE, pursuing poverty reduction projects in collaboration with multinational companies.
Before joining Pfizer, Julio worked in general management and operations consulting with ZS Associates, designing and implementing large-scale client projects. He also worked in the consumer products industry in packaging research and development in Venezuela. He earned his B.S in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and his MBA from Columbia University. Julio is an avid tennis fan, passionate about the arts and an advocate of wildlife conservation.
