Gazelle Rastegar is Hyginex’s vice president of business development, reporting to CEO Bahram Nour-Omid. Gazelle is responsible for helping Hyginex execute its strategic initiatives and expand its presence domestically and globally. Gazelle joined Hyginex from Caprea Captial, where she evaluated healthcare companies in the equity markets. During her tenure at Johnson & Johnson, she excelled in healthcare business management and execution. Gazelle’s prior professional career includes research and development at Agensys, a biotechnology company, which was successfully acquired by Astellas Pharma. She is credited as a co-inventor on a patent related to discovery of a novel protein in cancer detection. She graduated with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, and earned her Master’s in Business Administration at USC Marshall School of Business.
