Dr. Skultety received her doctoral degree at the University of Massachusetts and completed both an internship and postdoctoral fellowship in geropsychology. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and has worked in research, private practice and in the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System.

Dr. Skultety came to the Institute on Aging in 2008 and has served across the agency in clinical, educational and administrative leadership roles. In 2010, Dr. Skultety received the California Association of Adult Day Services Quality Award for Clinical Care for her innovative and exemplary work enhancing mental health care. In her current role she provides leadership for IOA’s PACE Lifeways and Psychology and Counseling Services divisions. She is a dynamic leader known for creating programs that creatively and effectively serve underrepresented and marginalized older adults in the healthcare system.
