Darren Dworkin is Vice President of Enterprise Information Systems and Chief Information Officer of the Cedars-Sinai Health System in Los Angeles, California. A native of Montreal, Canada, Mr. Dworkin obtained a bachelors’ degree in commerce from Concordia University.
Mr. Dworkin has spent 15 years in information technology and 6 years in healthcare. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Mr. Dworkin held the position of Chief Technology Officer of the Boston University Medical Center in Boston, MA. There he led the development of mission critical infrastructure and deployment of the foundation for an advanced healthcare informatics installation that included the use of sophisticated applications such as CPOE, Ambulatory EMR, electronic medical administration record, bedside documentation, automated pharmacy, lab, radiology, cardiology and enterprise imaging (PACS).
Mr. Dworkin has been a leader bringing mainstream enterprise expertise to the hospital setting, working with innovation leaders such as Cisco, EMC, IBM, Citrix, RSA, and Microsoft to enable solutions tailored at improving both efficiency and quality in a healthcare setting.
